Job description :
The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for the establishment's kitchen, including breakfast service, restaurant, bar and room service.
You will lead a small team of 5 to 6 people and coordinate and supervise culinary activities.
Your expertise in gourmet cuisine is innovative and you are always coming up with new ideas. Client is open to a young chef who is looking for his or her first awards and wants to reach for the stars by putting his or her name under the signature.
Responsibilities :
- Working closely with restaurant management to deliver a gourmet experience to customers.
- Effective management of kitchen staff, including training, planning and performance management.
- Control food costs, manage stocks and ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ensure that breakfast, restaurant, bar and room service operate efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Work with the team to maintain consistency and quality of cuisine in line with existing menus.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience as a sous chef or chef de cuisine
- With a passion for quality cuisine and ambitions to make a name for itself.
- Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team.
- Excellent cost and inventory management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food hygiene standards and current regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality under all conditions.
