Hospitality Talents is a recruitment specialist in the hotel and restaurant industry, operating under the brands Hospitality Jobs, and Hospitality Talents - Recruitment Agency. We are committed to preserving the confidentiality of our candidates, clients and users of our websites. The entity HorecAssist SRL acting as Data Controller of your data, will depend on the services we provide to you, as described below. 

We want to provide a safe and secure user experience. We will ensure that the information you provide to us, or that we collect, through various channels (including our website, written correspondence (including emails), conversations or meetings with our consultants or through the through our offices or websites, around the world), are only used for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

When you register with us as a candidate to provide you with job search services, we process personal data about you, including but not limited to your name, contact details and information in your RESUME. We act as Data Controller for the processing of your data for which you have applied.

When you use our website, click on links in emails we send to you, open or forward them, or sign up to receive job alerts or other content from us, we also collect personal data from these interactions.

We also obtain personal data about you from third parties, including,

  • referees - when you are offered a job;
  • former employers - to confirm dates of employment;
  • educational institutions - to verify your academic qualifications;
  • publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn and social media sites, to improve the information we hold about you, to help us find positions more suited to your needs;
  • clients to whom we have provided your resume and who have engaged with you in connection with a job application or who have provided feedback on your resume.

Potential candidates

We process personal data about you from public sources such as LinkedIn and social media sites or because you have been delegated to one of our events or to an event for which the event organizer is authorized to provide us with the contact details of the delegates.

Legal grounds for processing personal data about you

Under the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases to process personal data about you:

Automated Decision Making and Profiling

We don't make decisions based solely on an automated process – our decisions are always preceded by human intervention.

We carry out two types of profiling based on the candidate's personal data:

  • Candidate Portal by Zoho Recruit is a tool available on our website to allow candidates to upload their CV, so that we can recommend jobs matching the skills.
  • A smart search allows us to filter CVs when we receive many applications for the positions we advertise, and to enter relevant keywords such as years of experience or area of practice. It then analyzes all the uploaded CVs and provides a narrower list of candidates by matching keywords from candidates' CVs and ranking the candidates according to their suitability for the position. As previously explained, a recruiter always verifies the process. Thus, no automated decision is taken.

With whom we share your personal data

Under no circumstances will we share your private data with a third party company without your consent.

Third parties

If you are a candidate, we share personal data about you with clients who have vacancies for jobs you are interested in and for which you have applied. The applicable legal basis is the same as described above: the performance of the contract with clients and candidates or the taking of necessary measures for the purpose of concluding a contract and the legitimate interest of HorecAssist SRL in providing information to candidates and services to clients.

We also share personal data about you and, where required and permitted by law, special category data with third party service providers who perform services and functions on our behalf, such as:

  • employment reference checks;
  • qualification checks;
  • criminal conviction checks (if required);
  • verification of data provided by you from third-party sources;
  • hosting personal data for us;
  • professional advice services;
  • data analysis services;
  • administering surveys or contests on our behalf;
  • to help us communicate with you; And
  • provide research and direct mail or other prospecting services.

We contractually require minimum standards of privacy and data protection from our third-party service providers.

We keep some personal data longer than others. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider factors such as the purposes for which we process personal data about you, including any legal, regulatory, accounting and reporting obligations, the nature and the amount of personal data we hold about you, and the potential risk of harm to you from the unauthorized use or disclosure of personal data about you.

Where we process personal data about you for marketing purposes, we will do so until you ask us to stop, and for a short period thereafter (to allow us to implement your request). We also keep track of the fact that you have asked us not to send you prospecting or to process your data indefinitely, so that we can respect your request.
